Privacy Policy: Data Handling on the ATAS Reference Site

Independent technical documentation and software configuration guide. Not affiliated with ATAS or OrderFlow Trading. No software downloads hosted. For educational data-visualization purposes only; no financial or brokerage services provided.

This policy describes what happens to information when you read volume-profile-lab.org. The site is a static documentation reference: it has no reader profiles, no mailing list, no comment system and no form that transmits anything.

01 The short version

Pages are plain files served by a hosting operator. The only record created by a visit is the server log entry that the operator writes for operational reasons. The message form on the contact page navigates to a confirmation page inside your own browser and does not transmit its contents to the desk or to any third party.

02 Server logs

The hosting operator records each request in the ordinary way: the address the request came from, the time, the resource requested, the referring page if the browser sends one, and an identification string for the browser. These lines exist to keep the service running — to distinguish ordinary traffic from abuse and to diagnose delivery faults. They are written by the operator, retained for the operator's standard period, and are not used by this desk to build any picture of a reader.

The desk does not merge log lines with anything else, because there is nothing else to merge them with. No identifier is issued to a reader, no session is created and no preference file is written to the browser.

03 The contact form

The contact form is navigational. Fields are passed to the confirmation page as part of the page address in your own browser, which means the text never leaves your machine unless you copy it and send it yourself. Consequences worth stating plainly: the desk cannot see what you typed, cannot recover it if you close the window, and has no inbox that the form writes into. To reach the desk you must use the published email address or the postal address.

Practical note

Because the message text travels in the page address, avoid typing sensitive information into the form. Anything you would not put in a message subject line does not belong there.

04 Correspondence sent to the desk

If you write to the desk by email or post, the desk holds that correspondence for as long as it is needed to handle the correction and keep a record of what changed. Correction correspondence may be summarised in a page note, but contact details are not published and are not passed to anyone else. There is no transfer of correspondence to third parties, no marketing use, and no mailing list built from it.

05 Requests and questions

Because the site does not collect reader data, there is normally nothing to delete, correct or export on request. The one record that exists in connection with a visit is the operator's log line, which is held by the operator; requests about it should be addressed to the operator. Questions about this policy, or about how correspondence is handled, can be raised by email or post using the details on the contact page.
